Leading into this next season, let’s pause and pray together. Tammy Burrow will share a few gleanings from a favorite book, Lead With Prayer. We will break into groups for prayer. Please join us as we pray as a community and lift our praises to God.
We live in a world of noise and distraction. We move at a speed that blurs our vision. Staying focused is extraordinarily challenging. It is also absolutely critical. Without focus, our work dissolves into mere outputs and activity, and we miss the impact we might have. If you feel pulled by innumerable needs, if you sense constant pressure to chase more things than you have time or energy for, if you can talk about everything you do but can’t clearly articulate what it is all in service to, then this session is for you.
Choose one date to attend our October workshop. Fundraising affects and is affected by everything your ministry does. You probably know how much money you need to raise to keep your programs running and launch new initiatives, but do you know how to make that happen? It doesn’t happen by accident. You need a plan.
This is a three-session virtual group learning experience on Zoom. Order your book ahead of time, as it can take longer than a week to arrive: Coach Your Champions: The Transformational Giving Approach to Major Fundraising. P-E-O is a champion development strategy that encourages comprehensive growth in a cause and is informed by the calling we find in Ephesians 4, to “equip God’s people for works of service.” A ministry’s P-E-O strategy is a compilation of involvement steps offered based on what is desired for champions rather than from champions. Using Coach Your Champions by Eric Foley as our guide, we will read the book and work together in this three-session virtual learning group to develop your own organizational P-E-O chart and start watching your champions grow. Participants are encouraged to commit to all three sessions.
Ongoing Groups are for building relationships with other ministry leaders and to continue the learning from quarterly training. It is a round table discussion for you to bring topics, and we will look further at the tools from the workshop. Just as with the workshop, many make participation a regular event on their calendars. We learn and grow in relationship with one another.
